A little clarity before you begin

These terms cover your purchase of TheCozyDev’s Ship Your First App Kit and use of its web companion. The seller is Emma Skinner, trading as TheCozyDev, at 6 Holly Drive, Hurley, Warwickshire, CV9 2JY, United Kingdom. For help, purchase questions or complaints, email thecozydev@proton.me.

Please read these terms before buying. You can save or print a copy from your browser. Nothing here takes away the rights you have under consumer law.

What your purchase includes

The kit includes access to the App Store Companion, four downloadable PDFs and fifteen screenshot-template PNGs in cozy, light and dark versions. You can download everything together as a ZIP, or download the PDFs individually. It is a digital product; no printed item is posted to you.

The companion brings together nine roadmap stages, guides, checkboxes and saved notes, with separate optional rejection help. You can use the PDFs on screen or print them for your own use.

The price shown on the shop and at checkout is a one-time payment, not a subscription. The total payable, including any applicable taxes, is shown before you confirm payment. Any later price change does not change an order already accepted. Stripe processes payment. Your order is accepted when payment succeeds and we confirm the purchase.

Opening your kit

After a successful payment, open https://thecozydev-companion.pages.dev and sign in with the email address used at checkout. Enter the code sent to that address. Once the payment has been confirmed, the companion unlocks your guides and downloads. Confirmation can take a short time; if access does not appear, email us with your purchase email and order reference. Never send us card details or a sign-in code.

You need an internet connection, a current supported web browser and access to your purchase email for the companion. Downloads need enough storage, a ZIP extractor and a PDF viewer or image-compatible app. Downloaded files can be used offline. Apple developer membership, compatible Apple equipment and any third-party services needed to build or submit your app are separate and are not included in this price.

Using the kit

One purchase gives one person permission to use the kit and companion for their own app projects, including commercial apps. You may keep backup copies, print the PDFs for yourself, and adapt the screenshot templates to create marketing images for your own apps. You own the app content and screenshots you bring to those designs.

Please do not share your account, distribute the original or lightly altered kit files, resell the kit or templates, or publish the paid guides for others to download. TheCozyDev keeps ownership of its original materials. Third-party materials and services remain subject to their own licences.

The one-time purchase includes ongoing companion access without recurring subscription charges. It is not a promise of lifetime hosting or that every future product or major new edition will be included. The downloaded files remain yours to use under this licence. We will not charge a new recurring fee for the access you already bought without your separate agreement.

A guide, with you still in charge

The kit helps you understand the submission process and plan your next step. It is general educational guidance, not individual legal, tax or professional advice. Apple sets its requirements and makes review decisions. The kit cannot guarantee approval, a review date, sales or earnings. Apple’s requirements and third-party tools can change. Check the linked official guidance and your own App Store Connect account when making a submission decision. TheCozyDev is independent of Apple and is not endorsed by it.

Your notes and account

Your notes remain yours. You allow us to store and display them as needed to provide your companion, as described in the privacy notice. Only save material you have permission to use. Keep passwords, customer records and other sensitive information elsewhere, and keep a separate copy of notes you cannot afford to lose.

Use an email account you control and keep sign-in codes private. Please do not attempt to access someone else’s account, bypass payment or security checks, copy the service for resale, or use it unlawfully. If you lose access to your purchase email, contact us so we can discuss a safe way to verify your purchase.

Cancellations, refunds and problems

If you want to cancel or something is not right, email thecozydev@proton.me with your purchase email, order reference and a short explanation. This does not limit any other way you can validly exercise a legal right.

Where consumer cancellation rights apply, there is normally a 14-day cancellation period from the day after the contract is made. For digital downloads, that right can end when supply begins only if you have expressly agreed to immediate supply, acknowledged that you will lose that cancellation right, and received the required confirmation. Simply reading these terms or signing in does not, by itself, waive your rights. Any separate cancellation rights that apply to the ongoing companion service are unaffected by a waiver for downloaded content.

You can use this wording to cancel, but do not have to: “I would like to cancel my purchase of the Ship Your First App Kit. Purchase date: __. Order reference: __. Name: __. Purchase email: __. Address: __. Date: __.” Send it to our email or correspondence address above.

If the kit is faulty, not as described, or not supplied with the care required by law, you may be entitled to a remedy such as a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund. We do not use a blanket no-refunds policy. Any refund legally due will be handled within the applicable legal time limit using the original payment method unless another method is agreed.

If an order is validly cancelled or fully refunded, the licence and companion access attached to that order may end. We will explain what happens to your account and downloads when resolving the request. A disputed payment is reviewed before we decide what action is appropriate.

Keeping the companion available

We aim to keep the companion useful and available, but maintenance, faults and provider interruptions can happen. We may make reasonable changes to keep it secure, accurate and working. These terms do not give us permission to remove paid-for features arbitrarily or avoid legal obligations.

If we need to discontinue the companion or make a change that materially reduces what you purchased, we will give reasonable advance notice where possible, explain your options and provide any remedy required by law. You will have a reasonable opportunity to save your notes and download your files before a planned closure. This does not promise a built-in export tool.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a serious breach of these terms, fraud or a security risk. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and give you a chance to resolve it. Contact us if you think a restriction is a mistake.

Your rights and getting help

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Your mandatory consumer protections continue to apply. We do not guarantee that third-party websites or tools will remain available.

Please email thecozydev@proton.me if you need a hand or want to make a complaint. Include enough detail for us to find your order and understand what happened. We will work with you to find an appropriate resolution.

We may update these terms for future purchases. A later update does not retrospectively remove the rights attached to your existing purchase. Any necessary service changes will be handled as explained above.
